Where to Retire?

Usually before bedtime at night, we're always talking about where to retire (hubby and I). And we consider Philippines of course, the first choice. Couple of months ago, our option is to move back to my beloved country in case he will not get a job until June. Trying to figure out how can we live there with his retirement pay, computing everything from rental expenses(condo), utility bills, credit card payment(US), groceries, travel expenses, miscellaneous expenses, and found out that we can survive with his retirement pay alone, if living in a simple life. So, I started researching some condos for rent, preferably in Manila or Quezon City near my family. I can see in his eyes the excitement to explore different parts of the Philippines(as part of our weekend itineraries), from north to south, then have a trip to some Asian Countries like Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Thailand and Hongkong. We even talk about getting a job in the US Embassy, to have an income, he said that he got a Veteran Preference for US Government job like US Embassy, and as a wife, I got a points too for job preference. That makes us more excited. And started dreaming again for some travel ,we broaden our trips to as far as Europe, he said he wants to go back to Germany again(he lived there for 5 years), Paris, Russia, Italy and so on and so forth, until we fall asleep with this dreaming discussion, lol.
